Deregulation of the Industry
Avion Energy Group operates in every state that has some form of energy deregulation. Deregulation of energy markets began in the late 1990’s. Each state must be deregulated by that state’s legislature, and can take several years to pass and fully implement these new laws. Oversight of the energy market is provided by a government agency, such as the public utility commission.

Because deregulation is enacted by the state legislature, each state varies in how it supervises the activities of energy brokers. Some deregulated states require licensure or registration of energy brokers. Avion Energy Group is licensed or registered in accordance with each state’s laws where we do business.

If your state is not listed above, chances are your state is not deregulated. Contact your state legislature; let your elected officials know you want them to deregulate energy in your state.
